Almost Like Metformin...

Today was one of those days that featured extreme highs and lows that I haven't experienced since I was poppin' Metformin. This morning proved two things: pink ambient interior lighting doesn't always soothe my soul, and with San Diego's hills I have no prayer in ever achieving 24 mpg on city streets with Yukino. 

Carmax failed to refund my extended warranty fee as promised, which explains this morning's music selection. I don't listen to Slayer unless two conditions are met. I need my blood pumping like I'm working out, and I'm preparing for war. Both conditions were met before I drove to Carmax. Depending on what happens within the next forty-eight hours, it's possible I'll pursue legal remedies to resolve this matter. 

Now for something that almost made me forget about this ordeal...

Guess who was ready to go home this afternoon? 

The dealership did a fantastic job on the repairs, and they cut me a serious break on the cost of parts. I also splurged on detailing Miku inside and out, and prepaid for three year's worth of oil changes. It was a lot of money, but she's worth every penny.

Unlike Yukino's state of the art bells and whistles, Miku is a pure driver's car. She's got an old school speedometer and her go kart handling makes her wonderful to drive even at the posted speed limit. I tested out Sport Mode for a bit on the drive home, and hot damn I need to do that again soon!

Hopefully the knuckleheads at Carmax agree to expedite an actual refund check for the extended warranty. I would love more than anything to finally put this matter behind me and move forward.
