Temecula: Day 3

Just when you thought I'd take it easy on Departure Day, I did an arms workout in the fitness center at eight o'clock sharp. I'm not even sure if I had even started digesting the scrambled eggs, sausage, English muffin and coffee I had for breakfast yet.

I'm thankful I don't have big feet or else there's no way I'd pack a pair of dress shoes, socks and underwear, two button down shirts, a pair of slacks, and a tie and two hangars in that one compartment. That's why I'm visiting the TUMI shop for packing cubes as soon as tomorrow.

Marriott partnered with West Elm to create a trundle sofa that I fell in love with while reading magazines and books on both evenings. Even if I never use it as a bed, I would love to have one of these in my living area.

Once it was ten o'clock and everyone in Riverside County was at their San Diego County jobs, I decided to head home. The Santa Ana winds were already swirling dust and debris, so Miku's top remained closed. The journey home took just over an hour, but then I returned to my vida loca. Grocery shopping. Laundry. Throwing out a few items from the fridge due to the six hour power outage on Tuesday. Fun times!

I really enjoyed my two night stay at Springhill Suites by Marriott and I wouldn't mind staying here again. In fact, I'm already thinking of booking a three night stay as soon as March so I can visit the winery and Old Town Temecula on consecutive days.

I also wouldn't mind taking Miku or Artoria on a day trip here just to eat at Wahoo's. That place was fantastic, and I feel kind of bummed out that I have to cook my own baked salmon dinner tonight.

  1. Did I miss a post, or did you do any sightseeing to points of interests. What happen to the winery? I have to check to see if I missed something. Your last post in my reader shows Tuesday's post! Love the look at the hotel!!!
