Palm Desert: Day 3 - Thinking About Two Legends

Remember when Wayne Gretzky said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take? Or when Meat Loaf crooned that two out of three ain't bad? I've got those two legends on my mind as well as a bad taste in my mouth. 

Above is Goody's Cafe, which according to several Google reviews is worth visiting due to its diner style food. This is where I decided to eat dinner tonight and...

... the most generous thing I can say about my meal was it hasn't given me food poisoning symptoms yet. 

This western bacon cheeseburger didn't feel western at all. There was no barbecue sauce. The meat isn't seasoned, which is great if you're watching your sodium intake but let's be honest. This ain't no sweetgreeen. This burger should've been 2010 Lindsay Lohan loaded with grease. The fries were slightly overcooked and flavorless to boot.

If Spo had accompanied me here he would've called this place rubbish. But you know what? I'm not angry or upset that dinner didn't hit the spot. Trying out a new to you restaurant is part of the fun when traveling, and you're not going to hit a home run every time you step into the batter's box.

I'll take today's 2 for 3 considering breakfast and lunch were nothing short of incredible.
