Random Thoughts On A Monday Morning
While everyone is waiting for shit to hit the fan on or around April 2nd, I’m looking for ways to cut my expenses or at least get more bang for my buck. One of them is canceling NFL Sunday Ticket. I don’t care if Hunter Renfrow comes out of retirement and rejoins the Raiders. I cannot justify paying $300+ a year for seventeen games when I can pay $99 to stream the San Diego Padres via the MLB.TV app all season long.
Therefore, I’ll watch lots of Padres baseball on the MLB.TV app between now and October.

Callaway’s wine club will charge my credit card on Tuesday, and I’ve already booked a two night stay at SpringHill Suites for another trip to wine country in a couple of weeks. Ara ara!
The itinerary will be familiar and follow what I mostly did during Days 1 & 2 of the last trip. I don’t foresee myself shopping for watches or merch at Promenade Temecula this time, but say a prayer for my debit card just in case.

I’m a man of my word, so I’ll return to Danza del Sol winery next month. I’d like to combine a meal at Richie’s All American Diner with a wine tasting so I can make it a fun, fulfilling four hour getaway.
The only question is, when should I go?
The logical choice is any Thursday in April since that’s the one day of the week when the Padres aren’t playing. I have to get my money’s worth out of that new streaming subscription, right?

Finally, I have a date with Bert. No not a date date. A day where we’re going to open that $105 bottle of wine at his place. The tentative plan is to grill a couple of steaks on his backyard barbecue. I’ll also bring a hard cheese and some chocolate so we can have three different foods that will pair well with it.
I can’t wait to indulge myself!
The last 6 years have been very stressful wondering what the hell is going to happen next. The NFL package is 300.00? That is crazy. Enjoy your time with Bert. A steak on the grill sounds delicious!!
