Tuesday's Trip Prep
I don't believe y'all have ever seen this backpack, and if you did I'm pretty sure it was four years ago when I bought my Surface Pro 7. This little guy was custom made by Timbuk2 for about $120 at the time. I went all out with the reflective, digital print as well as enough pouches and zipped pockets to be the Mini Me version of my Tumi backpack.
I cleaned it up with Tumi's ballistic nylon cleaner and now it looks almost as it did when it was brand new. I shall use this to tote around the Surface Pro 11 on my upcoming trip.
I visited Dudley's for a nice lunch followed by shopping. I'm a fan of their chai lattes, so I decided to give the Cafe Moto whole bean coffee a try. It seems the bakery rotates certain bread varieties during the year. This rosemary olive oil is new to me and smells decadent. I loved the Clawhammer mints from my last visit, so I picked up two tins. One is for the trip while the other is for home use.Last but not least is a jar of blood orange marmalade jam that I'm sure will go well with... waitaminit. There's no chunky almond butter in stock? Ara ara!
Not pictured is a bottle of red wine that I may pack for this trip, weather permitting. We're getting another heat wave soon, but that may ease on the day of my arrival. I was hoping to arrive in town at around 1pm for a boozy lunch and then kill some time before I check into my room, but that may not happen if I want to bring the wine with me.
I visited the grocery store on my way home, and it was good news, bad news. The good news is I saw Ivy. We had a very brief conversation, and that's the bad news. She was rushing from one aisle to another to find a product for a customer, so obviously we didn't say much. It was also quite busy, and the lines at her and other registers were six deep.
I went the self checkout route, but at least I made her smile during that brief interaction. Perhaps another time when it's not so busy.
Finally, I found The Female Delusional Calculator highly entertaining. You enter the age range, minimum height, race and income level of Mr. Right to see what your odds are of finding him based on statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau.
Dudley's sounds like a great place to shop. A lot of unique finds!
