Temecula Valley: Day 2
This morning I decided not to get scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast. I opted for a bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and walnuts. It's there below the plain toasted bagel, trust me. The banana was my after walk snack later in the morning.
I went for the Winemaker's Select Club. I'll get their choice of both white and red wines, and I return in July to pick up my first batch.
I always take a little time to go merch shopping during my travels, and although I didn't find an early 70s Padres jersey I'm thrilled to own a Fernando Tatis Jr. jersey.
This gamer then played "Fork Knife" at Richie's. There's no way you can eat one of their signature half pound burgers without utensils.
This time I picked up a 2023 Vermontillo ($36) and a gold medal winning 2019 Meritage ($95). I will take great care in transporting these back home tomorrow.
This is the back of the t-shirt I brought back to the suite along with a slice of southern pecan pie for later tonight.
I had a lot of fun today (so far), but I also put in the work. I not only edited Chapter 2 but wrote a brand new chapter that takes place right afterward. I started working on Chapter 3 before I got ready for my wine tasting, but I'm unsure if I'll finish it tonight. Part of me wants to keep going, and part of me wants to sit back and read for the rest of the evening.
Sounds like a great day. I love the Richie's Diner shirt and that burger looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt was, especially after I saw the receipt for the Padres jersey. I'll blog about that later tonight. I love the Richie's shirt so much I'm going to wear it when I check out in a few hours.
