Things That Make Me Happy
Yesterday afternoon I received a postcard from Danza del Sol Winery that thanked me for joining "The Danza family", and I'm glad I did.
There's no doubt this postcard is a nice gesture, but what really pleased me was how its message was delivered. The message on its back, as well as my name and address, were handwritten with a pen.
When I was in sales half a lifetime ago, I used to mail handwritten thank you cards just like this one to my new clients. I was the only one in the company who did it, and to this day I still believe this helped me generate referrals from those new customers.
That right there is the biggest reason why I'm thrilled to receive this thank you card. I won't name the kind person who signed it, but they clearly understand how sales works.
I look forward to paying them a visit in July for my wine club pickup... or perhaps sooner than that? I'm not against the idea of making a second trip in June, y'all.
Hand written notes are always more special. It's nice to see some people still do that. Have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lori. Hand written notes are always so much better. It adds a personal touch.
ReplyDeleteHandwritten cards and letters in this digital age are a raity and that's what makes them ever so much more special! xoxo
ReplyDeleteDanza you say? Will have a look-see next time I am in Total Wine.
ReplyDeleteOh, they're not available for retail sale. You have to buy them direct from the winery.
