Random Thoughts On A Saturday Morning
My state Senator was roughed up for asking a question. The press is playing up a one square mile of Downtown Los Angeles as a war zone, yet the city has endured much worse after the Doyers buy themselves another championship. Forever enemies are once again at war ten time zones away. While I was asleep two Democratic lawmakers were shot in their homes, and several companies and our Mayor are boycotting next month's local Pride event due to the inclusion of an anti-Semitic performer.
The world has gone fucking mad.

With that in mind, I'll call this part of my post That One Time I... Sided With A MAGAt.
Let me make this clear. I'm no friend of Trevor Bauer. We are polar opposites on the political spectrum. If I were an MLB player and he aimed a pitch at my head, I'd probably turn him into a pinata.
So why would I take his side on any matter? Accountability.
Remember when he was tried and found innocent of sexual assault? His accuser, a local 304, and he settled their matter in a civil court. Since then, the 304 made false and defamatory claims on social media that she received a payout, and the court agreed with him. Default judgements don't lie, y'all.
I'll let you in on a little secret. Bert, Bolt Man, a few other men and I are all having our own little Me Too movement over here. Without saying who's involved, it's something like this...
You were accused of SH due to a disagreement with a woman, and you were innocent? Me too.
You were used as an ATM until the bank account was empty? Me too.
You were cheated on? Me too.
You were gaslight into believing you were insecure when you stood up for yourself? Me too.
All I know is the republicans are placing a huge bullseye on their backs. My one good friend is a R but she is so scared she will never admit to it in a crowd or when out. She just re- registered as an independent. With all the bullshit going on the R's in communities are probably smart to not say they are. Europe looks better by the day.
ReplyDeleteDespite it all I try to find something to agree with, some common ground with thems I oppose/oppose me. It often isn't easy. Often too they will not find something on my grounds.
