Random Thoughts Before A Trip
Sometime later today I'll begin the process of packing for my Temecula Valley trip, and I'll treat this journey as if I'm heading to Palm Desert in February. The current forecast has temperatures in the high 90s, which is not optimal for both wine transport and walking after nine o'clock in the morning.
In case you're curious, it will be 117 in Palm Desert midweek. Ara ara!
One thing I'll pack is this folding Kent comb. The Porch Gods delivered a handful of these a couple of months ago and they're great for short to medium length hair. When folded it's smaller than a credit card, which makes them perfect for every day use.
I'm thankful I can discreetly get cash back while grocery shopping. Having some of my bank accounts flirted with by cosmetically enhanced, husband hunting bank tellers half my age is a nuisance, not a flex. That shit gets old quick.
I told y'all I didn't need new shirts, but I can never pass up a good sale. I found a Robert Graham shirt 30% off at DXL just before the fourth, and I'll wear it during this trip.

After I posted on Monday, a Tesla driver proved me right. No, not that one. This is someone less deadly but still believes the rules don't apply to them.
No more than thirty minutes after my post, I pulled up behind a woman in a blue Model 3 with expired tags. These weren't the ordinary expired tags where the registration lapsed one or two months prior. These were Joe Biden hadn't lost the 2024 Presidential Election yet expired.
I'm certain this woman has already received and ignored her 2026 registration renewal notice. Yet another subtle sign someone who lives beyond their means can't afford their lifestyle. This would only be funnier if she posts TikTok videos complaining how men are broke.
Have a wonderful trip. I can't wait to read all about it.
